The company was established in 1952 primarily for the transport of goods by road. Moving house was soon added to the company's activities. Later also the furniture groupage, storage of goods and archives were added.
Since 1987 Dijkshoorn Verhuisservice has been located at the Hoekerstraat in Dijkshoorn Verhuisservice.
The original building was expanded in 1991 with a warehouse and office space on the Trawlerweg. In 1998 a new warehouse was taken into use, equipped with so-called 'dock shelters'.
